Travel to and within Berlin

If you are coming by plane

From Tegel Airport (about 30 min.) take the bus X9 or bus 109 (heading towards Zoologischer Garten) to S+U Jungfernheide.

From S Jungfernheide take the S42 (heading towards Südkreuz) to Messe Nord/ICC.

The Airport Express train takes just 35 minutes from the Schoenefeld airport to the station Berlin-Zoologischer Garten.

The specially identified regional train lines RE7 and RB14 run every half hour. Trains leave every 30 minutes. At the terminal, the exits leading to the Schoenefeld railway station are clearly marked. A covered walkway leads from the terminal to the.

The Airport Express Bus SXF1 runs directly at the terminal daily from 05.00 a.m. – 11.00 p.m. The service takes place every 20 minutes and brings you straight to the Südkreuz station. Duration: 20 minutes. From there you can us the S-Bahn (Ringbahn) to Potsdamer Platz 3 min or Messe Nord/ICC Berlin 10 min.

By metro/S-Bahn

Please use stop Messe Nord/ICC Berlin (just in front of the ICC Conference Center), you can also use Kaiserdamm however from there you have to walk approx. 10 minutes.

By bus

By bus with line M49, X34, X49, 104 and 139 to stop Messe Nord/ICC Berlin.

By car

Approaching Berlin on highway A115, follow the signs for Messedamm / ICC. Please be aware that parts of the city belong to an environmental zone (Umweltzone) with limited access (special stickers are required). The ICC, however, is located outside this zone.

By train

From Berlin Hauptbahnhof (about 15 min.), Zoologischer Garten (about 8 min.), Charlottenburg (about 4 min.), Ostbahnhof (about 25 min.) and Lichtenberg (about 35 min.), take the S5, S7, S9 or S75 (heading towards Westkreuz and Spandau) to Westkreuz or Messe Nord/ICC. The S-Bahn usually leaves every 10 minutes.

Taxi service

Taxis in Berlin may be ordered by phone, picked up at authorised taxi stands, or flagged down in the street. Always check that the meter is running. Taxis must usually be paid in cash though some accept credit cards.

City transportation

Berlin’s excellent public transport system comprises: U-Bahn (subway), S-Bahn (city rail), buses and trams. Buy tickets from ticket offices or from machines on station platforms. Bus drivers also sell tickets. You must validate your ticket in the red or yellow ticket-stampers on the platform before you get on the train or tram. Tickets sold by bus drivers are automatically validated.
