Travel to and in Basel
From several European cities, there are direct flights, including easyJet, to the Basel EuroAirport. A regular bus shuttle will bring you from the airport to the main train station in 15–20 minutes. Taxis to the city centre cost approx. € 30.
Numerous hotels and the conference venue (the Baloise Auditorium of Hilton Basel) are located within walking distance from the main train station (Basel SBB). The points of interest in the city centre and in the vicinity can either be reached by foot or by means of the well-developed public transportation system. When staying at a hotel in Basel, you will get a free ticket for using the public transportation system (Mobility Ticket).
Parking
Public parking is available at the Hilton Basel, the main train station Basel SBB and near the Aeschenplatz.
Conference Dinner
The Conference Dinner will be held on Thursday evening, October 22, 2009 at 19.00 h. It will take place at Basel’s oldest restaurant “Zum Goldenen Sternen”, situated directly on the bank of the river Rhine. Enjoy a pleasant evening among colleagues and friends. You can book your tickets in line with your conference registration. Fee per person: € 50
