Arriving by Plane
Vienna Schwechat International Airport, located 18 kilometres (11 miles) southeast of central Vienna, is the busiest and biggest airport in Austria. It is the home base of flag-carrier Austrian Airlines. Most European airlines and a significant number of international airlines have direct connections to Vienna from their respective hubs. Vienna Airport Lines
Buses leave every hour to and from the ACV underground station at “Kaisermühlen/VIC”. The first bus from the airport runs at 7:10 and the last bus leaves to the airport at 19:00. Please calculate about 30 minutes for the bus journey. Alternatively, airport express buses connect “Schwechat International Airport” with the city centre from 6:20 to midnight. The bus stop in the city is “Morzinplatz”. This journey takes about 20 minutes and the busses run every 30 minutes. A single ticket costs approx. € 6. From the city centre take the metro line "U1" (red line) to “Kaisermühlen-VIC” the stop of the ACV.

City Airport Train (CAT)
The City Airport Train (CAT) connects the airport directly to Vienna “Mitte” or “Landstrasse” station. Follow the CAT signs after immigration at Vienna Airport to get to the CAT departure platform. The journey to Vienna “Mitte” takes approx. 16 minutes. The costs are € 9 at the ticket counter and € 10 on the train for a single ticket. The service runs from 6:05 to 00:05 (airport to city) and from 5:38 to 23:38 (city to airport). From the city centre take the metro line "U1" (red line) to “Kaisermühlen-VIC” the stop of the ACV.

Rapid Train
The Vienna S-Bahn (S7) takes you directly from Vienna Airport to several stations in central Vienna, where you can change to the metro line "U1" (red line) to “Kaisermühlen-VIC” the stop of the ACV. From the airport to Vienna city centre, choose a train heading for "Wien Mitte", "Wien Nord" or "Floridsdorf". Trains depart every three minutes at peak hours and every five minutes in the evening.
Taxis
A taxi from the airport to the city center will cost about € 35 to € 40, depending on the traffic. For rides from the city to the airport, we recommend to order a socalled airport taxi at a fixed charge of € 31 (otherwise the taxi driver might charge you for the empty ride back to the city). The journey takes approx. 30 minutes.

Arriving by Car
The motorway network extends right into Vienna, making it convenient to reach the city by car. From the highway A22 take exit “Kagran – Vienna International Centre”.
From the city centre, drive over the “Reichsbrücke” bridge and turn left to the ACV. Proceed to the first roundabout and take exit “Donau-City Strasse”. At the next roundabout turn right and continue straight until the next traffic light; at the traffic light turn right. Ample underground parking space is available at the ACV on an hourly or daily basis.
Arriving by Train
From the southern train station, take S1, S2 or S15 rapid transit train and travel one station to “Südtiroler Platz”. Change to underground line U1 to “Kaisermühlen-VIC” the stop of the ACV. The ride takes approx. 25 minutes.
Public Transportation Vienna
A network of trams, rapid transit, buses and underground makes travelling around the city very easy. For more information on underground routes and time tables refer to www.wienerlinien.at.
The “Vienna Card” entitles the bearer to free transportation and reduced museum entrance fees etc. The price is € 18.50 and the card is valid on the day of issue and the following three days.

How to purchase a ticket
Tickets for public transportation are available at the ticket sales offices of the Vienna Transport Authority, at tobacco shops and from vending machines in the underground stations. Single tickets are also available from the vending machines in the vehicles themselves.
