30 years ago, the musician and conductor Gert Hofbauer founded the “Wiener Hofburg Orchester” which performs compositions by Johann Strauss and W.A. Mozart. The orchestra consists of about 36 professional musicians and four international vocal soloists. It performs at Vienna’s Hofburg (Imperial Palace), offering the unique opportunity to see its state rooms. The orchestra entertains its listeners with the famous and popular waltz and operetta compositions by the “King of Waltz” Johann Strauss the Younger, as well as with opera arias and duets by W.A. Mozart in the wonderful atmosphere of Vienna’s Hofburg.
