It is our pleasure to welcome you in Prague, Czech Republic, at the 23rd Congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) and the 12th Annual Conference of Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis (RIMS). This is the 3rd joint meeting of our two societies.
Research and treatment in the MS field are moving quickly forward. However, in our everyday practice we repeatedly meet many puzzles and challenges regarding the disease, which still require much work. It is for this reason that both scientists and clinicians have been cordially invited to meet and discuss new developments and approaches together, so that we can improve our clinical and scientific work to help our patients to reach a better quality of life.
Over the years, we have frequently obtained success by joining the professionals of rehabilitation and the leading experts in MS treatment and research to share their knowledge in order to develop comprehensive management of the disease.
In the Programme we have done our best to include challenging and timely topics which we trust will encourage your active participation and lively discussions. You will find both news and overviews from the basic science of MS, as well as the essence of the most sophisticated clinical practice.
We hope that ECTRIMS 2007 will bring new beginnings of fruitful friendships and scientific co-operation among participants. The setting of historical Prague will create a wonderful background for this.
We are convinced that we will have a most successful and instructive conference made all the more valuable by your participation. By both a stimulating programme as well as social and cultural events, we will do our best to make your stay in Prague pleasant and unforgettable.
