You will be picked up at the Congress Centre for a guided tour in the area of Gothenburg, the harbour, the old and new city and many other interesting places. Explore Gothenburg and see the city's most interesting attractions. The tour begins at Gustav Adolfs Torg square were you will find out more about the origins of the city and the importance of the canals to Gothenburg as a trading city. It will continue down to the water to look at our beautiful Opera House. Then you will travel westwards along the harbor to Klippan cultural reserve with its interesting history, through the old Majorna workers' quarters and Masthugget where the harbor workers and sailors used to live with their families. You will arrive back in the city centre via Gothenburg's lung, Slottsskogen park and the trendy Linnéstaden district. Now it's time to take in the sights and sound of fashionable Avenyn and see Carl Milles' famous statue of Poseidon up on Götaplatsen square.

The Fish Auction in Gothenburg is the largest in Sweden. Since 1910 it has been located in the "Fish harbour". To visit the auction itself you have to be an early riser, but in the harbour there is activity all round the clock. It is a living part of the city. Fish from all over the country is delivered to the auction, both salt and fresh water fish. Also fish roe and seafood is sold here.
Visit the Fish Auction early in the morning at 06.30 and watch the auction. You will be taken care of by a knowledgeable guide and after the auction a seafood inspired breakfast will be arranged for you.

Accompanied by a guide a coach journey will be arranged to take you 10 minutes outside the city centre to experience the Gothenburg archipelago, with its many characteristic rocky islands. You will take the public ferry to one of the islands, get a chance to take a walk around parts of it and then across a bridge to a neighbour island, all this together with the guide that can give you information on the way people live out on the islands. The islands are of course well populated in the summer with all the summer guests, but it is a functioning society all year around. Enjoy a coffee in one of the local venues before taking the ferry back into the harbour where a coach will be waiting to take you back to the Congress Centre.
