Joint Membership AAN and ENS

American Academy of Neurology –
European Neurological Society

The AAN and the ENS have reached a decision concerning a two-year pilot project offering joint membership for European members of both the AAN and the ENS.

Joint members will be given a 25% discount off both AAN and ENS membership dues. The Membership Committee also recommended, if possible, that these joint members be offered electronic-only access to the journal to reduce or eliminate the Academy’s subscription expense paid to the publisher.
The AAN and the ENS have accordingly agreed on starting the project on January 1, 2006, through to December 31, 2007.
The European members’ dues will be reduced 25% if they are members of both organisations. The parties will also appropriately modify their dues’ statements to reflect the 25% discount.
Members of AAN from USA and Canada will receive a 25% discount at the ENS only if they become members of the ENS (including electronic access to the Journal of Neurology).

The following guidelines will apply to the discount:

  1. European members of the AAN will receive a discount only if they are a member of the ENS when paying their annual dues (i.e. they will not receive a refund of 25% of their dues if they join the ENS after paying their dues to the AAN).
  2. European members of the ENS will receive a discount only if they are a member of the AAN when paying their annual dues (i.e., they will not receive a refund of 25% of their dues if they join the AAN after paying their dues to the ENS).
  3. Members of AAN from USA and Canada will receive a 25% discount at the ENS only if they become members of the ENS.

The joint membership includes the electronic Journal of Neurology.
