City of Prague

Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, reflects its dramatic history, dating back more than a thousand years, in the beauty and variety of its buildings and monuments. The historical centre, which is divided into five areas, spanning both banks of the Vltava River and covering 866 hectares, was listed in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Register in 1992. Prague is a thriving modern city with narrow streets characterised by winding alleys and magnificent examples of all architectural styles, with charming hotels and excellent restaurants offering traditional Czech and international cuisine.
