Travel to and within Prague

Arriving by plane

The Prague-Ruzyne International Airport is located north-west of the city. Please note, that there is no direct metro connection to and from the airport.

Take bus number 119 (which runs every 10-15 minutes outside the terminal) to Dejvická metro station, line A. Tickets can be purchased on the bus for approx. 26 CZK (1€). A simple metro ticket costs 18 CZK (0.60 €).

From Dejvická metro station, take the service in direction Skalka to the Muzeum stop. At Muzeum, change to line C in direction Háje and off at Vyšehrad. The congress centre is located right next to the metro stop. This combined bus-metro service will take you to the Prague Congress Centre in about 45 minutes.

By taxi the journey will take about 25 minutes depending on the traffic conditions. The approximate price for a taxi journey is 600 CZK (25 €).

Arriving by car

The Prague Congress Centre can easily be reached by car. From the north along the D8 motorway (from Dresden), from the south along the D1 motorway (from Brno, Vienna or Bratislava), from the west along the D5 motorway (from Rudná) and from the east along the D11 motorway (from Hradec Králové). 

There is a car park nearby the Prague Congress Centre. The parking fee is not included in the registration fee, but tickets can be bought directly at the parking area at a cost of 50 CZK/hour (approx. 2 €). 24 hours tickets are also available.

Arriving by train

At the central station (Hlavní Nádraží) take metro line C, direction Háje and get off at Vyšehrad. The Prague Congress Centre is located next to the metro station. The journey takes about 5 minutes.

Arrival by bus

The city’s main bus terminal is Florenc situated in the eastern part of the New Town. From Florenc bus station travel four stops by metro line C, direction Háje and get off at Vyšehrad.

Public transportation

The city of Prague has a good infrastructure and is well accessible by metro, bus and tram. All ENS participants can use the public transportation system for the duration of the congress free of charge. Vouchers are available at the congress tour desk on the 1st floor.

The Prague metro network consists of three lines (A,B,C) and operates daily from 05:00 to 24:00. From the city centre (Wenceslas Square), the Prague Congress Centre can be reached by metro line C in direction Háje. Exit at the second stop at Vyšehrad.

The nearest tram stop to the Prague Congress Centre is Svatoplukova. It is located in Nusle, directly underneath Nusle Bridge (Nuselský most). Trams number 7, 18 and 24 stop here. After getting off the tram walk under the railway line and up the steps through the park straight to the congress centre which you will be able to see above you.
