Call for Abstracts

All participants are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentation at the
4^th International Epilepsy Colloquium

In order to standardize the abstract layout we ask you to read the preparation guidelines CAREFULLY!

Guidelines for preparation and submission of abstracts:

1. Abstracts may only be submitted via Internet. Abstracts submitted via Fax or E-mail will not be accepted.
2. All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
3. Abstracts should contain original material neither published nor presented elsewhere prior to June 27^th 2011.
4. Abstracts should be informative, containing objectives, methods, results and a conclusion. 
5. Just the promise of further discussion is not acceptable.
6. Abstracts may not be longer than 2’500 characters, including spaces.
7. Tables, charts and other graphics are permitted and must be in JPG or GIF format, of high resolution and suitable for reproduction in black & white. A separate upload button is provided (max 2 graphics per abstract). No photos may be submitted.
8. Avoid complex mathematical formulae. For the symbols ≤ or ≥ type instead <= or >=. For superscript use caret (^) e.g. 10^6 instead of 10⁶. Do not use Greek letters and symbols. Instead of ‘IFN-γ’ use for example ‘IFN-g’ or ‘IFN-gamma’
9. Method of presentation: poster presentation only
   The selection committee reserves the right to decide on the final allocation.
10. If an abstract is accepted, the presenting author must register and attend the congress. Acceptance of a paper implies payment of the registration fee by the presenting author.
11. After having submitted your abstract, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail with the following information (please make sure to state your correct e-mail address):
    
    • reference number of your abstract (for correspondence and questions that might arise)
    • your personal access codes
    Should you wish to make corrections to an abstract already submitted or if you wish to submit other abstracts later, you may use these access codes.
    
    If you do not receive a confirmation by e-mail please contact the Abstract hotline.
    
    Corrections to abstracts can only be made up to the extended deadline of March 2^nd 2011.
