The 5th ESCMID School programme will begin on Saturday, 10 June,
at 16:00 h, and end on Friday, 16 June 2006, at 14:00 h.
Accommodation in Hotel Chiqui is included in the tuition fee. Registered
participants will be informed about their hotel registration by the course
secretariat.
On the first day the School material will be distributed. It will
include the detailed programme, the list of the presentations to be prepared
by the participants, the group allocation as well as practical information
on Santander.
- Breakfasts will be served at the Hotel Chiqui.
- Lunches will be provided Sunday to Thursday at the University Hospital
Marqués de Valdecilla; on Friday, 16 June it will be served during
the boat trip to the Santander Bay.
- Dinner on Saturday, 10 June and Tuesday, 13 June is included in the
tuition fee and organised by the School. On the other evenings participants
are free to have dinner on their own in the city.
- Saturday, 10 June: Welcome dinner
- Tuesday, 13 June: Excursion to the Altamira neocave with prehistoric
paintings, followed by a visit to the medieval village Santillana del
Mar with official dinner in the Parador. (Please note that the original
Altamira cave is closed for visitors; what we will visit is a perfect
reconstruction of it)
- Friday, 16 June: boat trip to the Santander Bay
European CME accreditation is being sought for this course.
