Discounts

The following discounts can be applied for the full conference registration fee (only one discount type can be applied):    

  • Less-Developed Country Discount (LDC) for official delegates of a FIDIC Member Association (approval required). Please click here for further information.
  • Young Professionals 33% discount for FIDIC Member Association member firm staff, 40 years of age or less (proof required). Please click here for further information.
  • Member Association Staff Discount. Please click here for further information.
  • Group Registration Discount. Please click here for further information.

* Less developed country discount

FIDIC offers a discount on the full conference fee for Member Associations in Less Developed Countries (LDCs). The maximum number of participants that qualify from a given country (MA) is two.     
To obtain the FIDIC LDC discount, the participant's national Member Association will need to notify FIDIC that the participant qualifies for the LDC discount. The participant must arrange this directly with the association. The following table is indicative. The actual discount applied will be calculated during registration.

** Young professionals (YP) discount

The Young Professionals discount applies to consulting engineering professionals under the age of 40.  FIDIC encourages all Young Professionals to become a member of the FIDIC Young Professionals Forum (YPF). The admission is free of charge. Please contact Michele Kruger (YPF Chairperson) at michele@csvwater.co.za  for more information. The discount is only applicable for a full 3-day registration and proof of age (copy of passport/driving licence) is to be sent by email to Conference Registration  at fidic2012@congrex.com. Discounts cannot be combined.

*** Member association staff discount

If more than one staff member of a FIDIC Member Association registers for the full conference, each additional staff member enjoys the reduced fee. The position of this person has to be indicated when registering. Discounts can not be combined.

Group registrations and discounts

A special Group Registration Form can be ordered from the Conference Secretariat at fidic2012@congrex.com, or can be downloaded as a file by clicking on the Group Registration Form and the Group Registration Policy. It is important to fill in the individual contact details of each participant including postal and e-mail address. Upon receipt of the duly filled-in group registration form a confirmation invoice will be emailed to the group coordinator. The bulk payment can be made by credit card (VISA, MasterCard and American Express) or by bank transfer.

FIDIC offers a 10% group discount to a delegation of 10 or more participants, if organised and registered by a FIDIC Member Association. Group Discounts cannot be combined with other discounts, e.g. LDC, YPs.

Terms and conditions for registration

Registration will only be valid if all fees are paid in advance of the conference. The conference organisers will forward acknowledgement of the receipt and confirmation of conference registrations by fax or email. Reservations will be handled on a first-come-first served basis.
It is advisable to present the confirmation when registering at the conference centre as proof of your registration.

Online registrations

Participants may register for the conference, the social events and tours, as well as book hotel accommodation through the same link. Please click Opens external link in new windowhere.
For online registrations, payment is by credit card or bank transfer.
Please do not use the online registration for group registrations!
Participants can register online until Saturday, 08 September 2012.  After this date you may need to register on-site.

Offline registrations

Delegates who prefer to register offline may complete the registration form in PDF format  and return the signed form to the Conference Secretariat at fidic2012@congrex.com or by Fax to +4161 6867788

Payment (online and offline)

Upon receipt of the conference invoice by email, the amount may be settled by credit card using the following Link Opens external link in new windowOnline Payment by filling in the invoice and ID numbers shown on the invoice. Please click Opens external link in new windowhere to proceed to the payment. Payment by bank transfer is also accepted.

Payment policy

The registration invoice is payable within ten days upon receipt. If the amount remains unpaid after this period, participants will receive a reminder indicating the deadline for payment. Unsettled registrations will automatically be deleted.

On-site registrations

Participants registering for the conference on-site cannot be guaranteed receipt of all congress documents or entry to all events. No discounts will apply for on-site registrations.

Visa invitation letter

Requests for visa invitation letters should be sent to the Conference Secretariat at fidic2012@congrex.com as early as possible. Only registered and paid delegates will receive an invitation letter. Cancellation / refund policy

Cancellations received in writing by email at the Conference Secretariat [fidic2012@congrex.com] before 08 August 2012 will be refunded, less an administration fee of 25% of the registration fee. After this date no refund will be possible.

Name changes

A fee of USD 30 will be charged for name changes. For on-site changes of name badges due to incorrect submission of name and/or address data, a fee of USD 20 will be charged.

Force majeure

The organisers note that they do not carry any liability for the unlikely cancellation of this conference due to political events or other unforeseen circumstances.
While every effort will be made to keep to the published programme, the organisers reserve the right to change times and venues. Tours and events are based on a minimum number of participants and may be either merged with an equivalent tour or cancelled.
The participant acknowledges that he/she has no right to lodge damage claims against the organisers should the running of the conference be prevented by political events (such as acts of terrorism, danger of hostility, war, etc.) or by unexpected economic events or force majeure, or should the non-appearance of speakers or other reasons necessitate programme changes. With his/ her registration, the participant accepts this proviso.
